Vocational education and training
Non-formal and vocational training that builds skills, motivation and participation, with inclusion and diversity designed in from the start.
01Training
Training for personal and professional growth
Smart Leap specialises in non-formal training programmes that foster personal and professional growth. Our programmes strengthen technical and vocational skills, social and cultural competences, advocacy and governance skills, digital literacy, project management and social media expertise. We also offer vocational training tailored to specific trades or industries.
Training and organisation has been part of our work in Düsseldorf from the start: programmes for children, young people and civil society organisations, delivered through learning by doing, field practice and teamwork.
02Personal development
Skills that carry into work and life
Communication
Clear speaking, listening and writing, at work and in teams.
Time management
Planning tasks and priorities, at work and in learning.
Emotional intelligence
Recognising and managing emotions, in oneself and in others.
Goal setting and leadership
Setting goals, taking responsibility and guiding others.
Teamwork and stress management
Working together across backgrounds and roles, and staying effective under pressure.
Cultural awareness and diversity
Training that builds respect for diversity and prevents discrimination.
03Inclusive VET
Inclusive vocational education with DiverseVET
In DiverseVET, Smart Leap leads the German national Centre of Vocational Excellence for Diversity. The project develops modular, learner-centred and accessible curricula for green and digital pathways, from EQF level 3 to 7, and gives VET providers and SMEs practical tools for inclusive education and employment.
For vocational schools, chambers and companies this means new courses and modules, training pathways for DEI roles, and a network in which proven approaches are shared.
04Mentoring and networking
Mentoring and community networking
Our mentoring programmes respond to personal and professional development needs: academic mentoring for children and young people, personal development mentoring, career mentoring focused on vulnerable groups, entrepreneurship mentoring and cultural mentoring. They help people reach their goals and become more resilient and adaptable.
Our community networking fosters collaboration among community members: events and initiatives for shared goals, networks that share resources, advocacy for community needs and cultural diversity, and social support for vulnerable groups.
